I’ll quit music in three years, says Mr Eazi

Mr Eazi, who has been in the music industry for a few years, says he will quit music in three years.

The singer, in a recent interview with Street Hop, a television show, said music is a short term career for him.

“Sincerely, I don’t plan on doing music for more than three years further,” said the artiste whose real name is Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade.

“In my mind I feel like I want to do something more like a Jay Z. The music is giving me a lot of capital which can be reinvested, the music is giving me a lot of influence, and so if in the next three years I’m able to get the numbers, you could use that to do anything else in life.

“I am a serial entrepreneur. So, I will move on to the next thing depending on what I am passionate about at the time. It would appear that the artist is on a journey to ‘find’ himself admitting that he has walked away from several career paths from engineering to events.”

His unreleased mixtape, the singer recently disclosed, had already sold 200,000 copies in pre-order.

In an interview with Beats 1, he said Accra to Lagos is a combination of many rhythms and drum patterns.

“I think it’s a mixture of everything, because first on the root of everything, it’s the drum patterns, you know if you listen to all of my records, you could sum it up to one particular drum pattern and that’s the crust of everything and then my ABC nurse rhythm lyrics.

“You know my hooks, I just keep everything chilled and that’s my personality, I bring my personality on the record so I feel like it’s everything, from the melody to the lingo, but at the crust, it’s really those, drums, it’s really the drum pattern.”
