FG files charges against Justice Ademola and wife



The Federal Government has filed a charge against Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court.

He has been accused of receiving gratification and an abuse of office.



In the charge filed before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja yesterday, Justice Ademola was accused of acting with his wife, Mrs. Olabowale Toluwatope Ademola, who is the Head of Service of Lagos State.

Mrs. Ademola, in the charge marked: CR/21/16, filed by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, was said to have aided her husband.

Justice Ademola, one of the judges recently arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS), was accused of receiving gratification from some lawyers, law firms and companies. His wife was alleged to have, in some instances, accepted some money into her account in GT Bank Plc on behalf of he husband.

Justice Ademola, who sits in Abuja division of the Federal High Court, is the second of the arrested judges against who the Federal Government has filed charges.

The Federal Government on November 8, filed a six-count charge against Justice Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court before the Federal High Court, Abuja
