Asisat Oshoala has insisted that the Nigerian women’s team are focused on winning the 2016 edition of the African Women's Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Super Falcons will battle hosts, Cameroon in the final and the Arsenal forward said they are ready to end their title drought since 2014.
Coach Florence Omagbemi’s ladies have won seven out of the nine AWCON titles, and they will be hoping for the eight at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde on Saturday.
"We have a goal which is to win the title," Oshoala told newsmen.
"We haven’t won any silverware since 2014, so there’s no getting away from the fact that we have to get it right with another AWCON triumph.
"There’s always an opportunity to redeem yourself, and what better way to do it than against Cameroun – one of the top teams in Africa."
Oshoala is in pole position to win the tournament’s top scorer award with six goals.
