After a long wait following the announcement of a new album on Instagram, Alapomeji records front liner 9ice has finally released his 8th studio album titled “Cabassa”.
The album hit digital platforms today November 28th and 9ice has revealed the reason why he named the album after his long time friend and music producer ID Cabassa.
Speaking in a Twitter video released by MTV Base, 9ice said: “Why the title of my album that just came out today is ID Cabassa is because he is a producer that I have known all my life, he is my brother, my uncle and someone that has contributed a lot to my career and I am using this to dedicate to him and a payback to him. All the proceeds from the album go to ID Cabassa. You don’t need to celebrate people when they are not alive. I believe this is the right time for me to celebrate him. The name is a brand already and I’m just trying my best”.
